Bizeebuds Story - Necessity is the mother of all inventions

Bizeebuds is a mother’s homage to her children and the journey of parenthood which led her to create solutions for her own curiosity. It is a labour of love that shaped a product that addresses a need gap for early childhood skill development. Bizeebuds is not just a company that promotes purposeful playtime but also an odyssey of learning, discovering, and innovating.

As an avid sports person herself, for our founder, Neelakshi Khurana, fitness and sports are subjects close to her heart. And a commitment to finding answers is deeply embedded in her attitude. In fact, in her maiden venture as a franchisee owner of India’s leading multi-sport program for preschoolers, she found a sense of purpose. “A turning point” not just for her but also for many others in the city of Vadodara who were reaping the benefits of her initiative. A new culture of outdoorsy physical activities was wholeheartedly welcomed by parents as well as kids.

But while the program spread awareness about the importance of gross motor skills, physical activities and sports, especially for kids, Neelakshi was plagued by a few pressing questions:

1. What about the families or working couples who could not avail of the benefits of this program owing to their work commitments?

2. What about the kids who can not be picked and dropped at a venue to attend the program?

3. Why should they be deprived of enhancing these fundamental skill sets in their kids?

In spite of the knowledge and experience gained over 10 years as an entrepreneur, Neelakshi felt the need to dive deeper and upgrade herself to bring up a generation of healthier, smarter and more active children. She realised that parents were more than willing to put the effort into developing crucial skills in their kids at home. However, it was difficult for them to sustain it because some lacked knowledge while a few others were confused about the execution. It is at the cusp of this point that Neelakshi felt the need to support parents with her expertise.

Many hours of extensive learning and new certifications later she founded Bizeebuds - a company that promotes purposeful learning put together intelligently to boost movement in young children. To support parents by providing necessary equipment and guidance to enhance playtime.

Bizeebuds’ first product Motto Moto is a unique game designed to focus on gross motor skill development in preschoolers. The product encourages movement in young children in the most engaging and entertaining manner.

Our Founder

Neelakshi Khurana wears multiple hats with ease and elan. A successful entrepreneur running a franchise for India’s leading multi-sports program in Vadodara; a certified Motor Skill Learning Coach from the Motor Skill Learning Academy, Switzerland which is Accredited by the International Organisation of Children’s Active Play and Sports (CAPS); an advocate of sports and physical literacy amongst kids and a mother of two wonderful boys. Being an ace athlete and avid sportsperson herself, Neelakshi values the benefits of sports and outdoor activities in everyday life.

A life-long learner as she identifies herself, Neelakshi has a degree in computer applications but it was her curiosity that has taken her places. Her desire, and the subsequent failure, to find specific learning opportunities for her children inspired her to fill the need gap in the market. Be it her maiden venture the SportyBeans franchise or upgrading her learning during the pandemic when most parents were searching for options to keep their children active, Neelakshi believes in keeping her mind and body agile. She has also designed various workshops for parents to help build gross motor skills in kids at home. For teachers, she has designed workshops to integrate movement into the existing school curriculum.

Movement is a topic that she is passionate about and with her latest venture Bizeebuds, Neelakshi aims to develop and offer tools that can encourage parents, teachers and occupational therapists - to invest time to play with purpose.
